Of course, Nigeria isn’t perfect. But what you focus on becomes your reality. If you fix your gaze on opportunity, on service, on solutions, Nigeria will reward you.

When you hear the phrase “Nigeria happened to them,” what comes to mind?

For most, it is a narrative that depicts some experience that should be improved upon

But for Mr. and Mrs. Tijesuni Simire, it’s a story of vision, courage, and triumph.

The young couple were living and working in Europe. They had stability, comfort, and the promise of blending into a system that was already built.

Yet, deep down, they knew their future wasn’t in chasing someone else’s dream. Fashion was calling. And even while abroad, it was their fashion business back in Nigeria that was sustaining them financially.

Then came the bold decision: the kind of move most people would think twice about. They packed their bags, left Europe behind, and relocated back home. Not to Lagos. Not to Abuja. But to Ilorin. Yes, Ilorin!

There, they planted their dream and built what is now the biggest fashion hub in the city: Worldaka Fashion Brand.

From that seed, their business has blossomed into a powerhouse, with two thriving branches in Ilorin, one in Lekki, Lagos, and new projects springing up in Abeokuta and even Dubai. They’ve employed hundreds of artisans, created systems that deliver custom-made outfits in less than 24 hours, and redefined what’s possible in Nigeria’s fashion industry.

Mr. Simire serves as Chairman. Mrs. Simire leads as CEO. Together, they’ve become the cloth kings and queens, blending tradition, modern fits, and even footwear into a brand that inspires.

And their story proves something profound: Nigeria happening to anyone is a great story.

Think about it: Davido, Burna Boy, Tobi Amusan, Tems, Dangote, Hilda Baci… these aren’t just names, they’re proof. Proof that greatness is possible right here, that Nigeria’s soil is fertile for those who dare to build.

Of course, Nigeria isn’t perfect. But what you focus on becomes your reality. If you fix your gaze on opportunity, on service, on solutions, Nigeria will reward you.

For the Simires, Nigeria happened, and it was the best thing that ever did. It can happen to you, too, especially with the new, long-term policies by the government focused on opportunity, innovation, and youth empowerment.

From Ilorin to Lagos, from SMEs to creative industries, people are beginning to see that the soil here is fertile for those who dare to build.
